Commercial Scaffolding Systems We Provide
Commercial projects demand more than a standard tube-and-fitting scaffold. All structural scaffolding is designed in accordance with BS EN 12811 and TG20:21 guidance. Where a project falls outside standard configurations — cantilever structures, bridging scaffolds, scaffolds over public footways — we commission a bespoke scaffold design from a qualified structural engineer and provide the drawings to your site team.
Independent Tied Scaffolds
The standard access solution for multi-storey commercial buildings. Tied to the structure at regular intervals, independent scaffolds provide safe working platforms at every level for cladding, brickwork, roofing and maintenance.
Birdcage Scaffolds
Full-volume internal scaffolds for work on ceilings, roof structures and high-level internal surfaces. Used in warehouses, sports halls, churches and industrial units where overhead access is required across a wide area.

Edge Protection Systems

Compliance, Safety & Documentation
Commercial scaffolding contracts require a higher level of documentation and compliance management than domestic work. We provide a full compliance package as standard on every commercial contract — not as an add-on.
Our RAMS are produced specifically for each project, not adapted from generic templates. They address the specific hazards identified during our site survey and are submitted for approval before work begins. We also carry out formal scaffold inspections at handover and at least every seven days thereafter, in line with the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and provide written inspection records to the principal contractor.
We hold Constructionline Gold membership and SSIP accreditation through Achilles, which means our health and safety management system, insurance and financial standing have been independently verified. This simplifies pre-qualification for main contractors and public-sector clients.
Industrial & Large-Scale Scaffolding
For large industrial contracts — power stations, manufacturing plants, petrochemical facilities and major infrastructure projects — we provide scaffolding designed to the specific load ratings, access requirements and safety standards of the site. All operatives working on industrial sites hold current CISRS cards and have completed the relevant site-specific inductions.

Temporary roof structures are increasingly specified on commercial refurbishment contracts where the programme cannot accommodate weather delays. We design and erect fully weatherproof temporary roofs over existing structures, allowing roofing, structural and internal fit-out work to proceed regardless of conditions.
Temporary roofs are particularly valuable on occupied buildings where water ingress would cause significant disruption — schools, hospitals, care homes and office buildings. We can integrate temporary roof structures with the access scaffold to minimise the overall footprint on site.

Commercial scaffolding contracts require more planning and coordination than domestic work. Here is how we manage a typical commercial project from enquiry to completion.
Enquiry & Initial Survey
We visit the site to assess access requirements, ground conditions, tie points and any constraints — occupied building, public footway, overhead services. No charge for commercial surveys.
Design & Pricing
We produce a detailed scaffold design and written quotation. For complex structures we commission a bespoke structural design. Prices are fixed for the contract duration unless scope changes.
RAMS & Pre-Start
We submit full Risk Assessments and Method Statements for approval before work begins. We attend pre-start meetings and carry out site inductions for all operatives.
Erection & Handover
Scaffold is erected by CISRS card-holding scaffolders to the approved design. On completion we carry out a formal inspection and issue a handover certificate to the principal contractor.
Ongoing Inspections
We inspect all scaffolding at least every seven days and after any event that may have affected its integrity — high winds, impact, modification. Written inspection records are provided.
Modifications & Adaptations
As the project progresses, scaffold configurations often need to change. We respond quickly to modification requests and update the design and RAMS as required.
Dismantling & Clearance
On completion we dismantle and remove all scaffold materials, leaving the site clear. We coordinate with your site manager to agree a dismantling programme that fits the handover sequence.
Post-Contract Review
For repeat clients and framework contracts we carry out a post-contract review to identify any lessons learned and agree improvements for future projects.
